2013 – Expanding Horizons
Launched My Architect|sa to specialise in architectural services, while Qwabe Mahlase Architecture evolved into a full construction entity.
2016 – Sustainability at the Core
Established Imagine Green Consulting to embed sustainability into every design and project.
2017 – Beyond Construction
Formed Imagine Eco Build Solutions for asset and facilities management, and introduced Imagine Green Cycling as our CSI initiative.
2018 – Diversifying Growth
Expanded into property development and management with Imagine Real Estate.
2022 – A Unified Vision
Consolidated all subsidiaries under Imagine Group |sa, creating a strong, integrated holding company.

Our Leadership
Sboniso Sibisi is an Architect, the visionary founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Imagine Group|sa,. Sboniso holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technology from the Durban University of Technology, and a Diploma in Project Management from Varsity Collage.
His academic background and entrepreneurial leadership have positioned him at the forefront of innovative and culturally resonant architectural practice.
With extensive experience in the architectural field, Sboniso has worked on a wide range of significant projects including shopping malls, hospitals, educational institutions, and government buildings. His professional journey is marked by a commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
With a strong dedication to contributing toward a better-built environment and a cleaner planet, Sboniso is focused on the growth of the Imagine Group within South Africa and on the global stage. His vision includes expanding the influence of My Architect|sa by pushing the boundaries of innovative architecture while remaining grounded in cultural authenticity and sustainable development.
An entrepreneur since 1996 and business executive of more than 31 years. Has undergone various levels of training in business, finance, strategy, investment, and risk management, 2 two programmes in company direction, and the Executive Development Programme (EDP) WBS.Â
He has served in various companies at both the executive and Board management levels. His experience also includes a role as Trustee at Rebhold Limited pension and provident funds.

Thamsanqa Mlanduli is a dedicated architectural professional whose journey reflects both passion and perseverance. With an academic foundation in architecture dating back to his initial studies between 2003 and 2006, His commitment to the field was reignited when he completed his undergraduate degree in 2019. He is currently pursuing postgraduate studies, with ambitions to one day earn a PhD focused on sustainable, off-grid living. As an Executive Associate, he has contributed to a diverse portfolio of projects spanning residential, commercial, healthcare, educational, and mixed-use developments. His work is characterized by a deep appreciation for the arts and a forward-thinking vision that integrates natural elements into architectural solutions to reduce both cost and carbon footprint. Driven by a lifelong passion for design, He believes that inspiration lies in everything around us. He views architecture not just as a profession, but as a transformative tool to enrich lives and communities. His ultimate goal is to specialize in off-grid architecture—crafting sustainable spaces that harmonize with their environments and promote self-sufficiency in a rapidly urbanizing world.

Mandisa A. Hlatshwayo is a seasoned professional in the construction and infrastructure sector, with a decade of expertise in quantity surveying, project governance, and strategic advisory roles. Her journey in the field began in 2010 when she obtained a National Diploma in Building, laying the foundation for her technical proficiency in construction management and cost estimation. Committed to advancing her expertise, she pursued further academic qualifications, earning a BTech in Quantity Surveying in 2017. This milestone solidified her ability to navigate complex contractual frameworks and financial structures within construction projects. Mandisa is currently serving under Imagine Group as the Divisional Director of the Imagine Real Estate subsidiary of the group.
With 10 years of industry experience, Mandisa has cultivated a strong understanding of governance and compliance within construction projects, engaging with standard contract agreements such as FIDIC, NEC, GCC, and JBCC. Her analytical skills extend beyond cost management to evaluating the socio-economic implications of foreign ownership in infrastructure development. Her work integrates technical precision with strategic insights, making her a valuable asset in shaping sustainable and innovative construction practices.
Luwella Mfana is a results-driven professional with a strong background in maintenance, facilities management, and project management. She brings more than 10 years of experience in facilities management, operations management, and procurement, consistently delivering proven success in process improvement and team leadership. Luwella demonstrates strong management skills that guide teams to success while building meaningful relationships with clients and customers to sustain business operations.
